One Simple Rule To Keep Your House, Mind And Spirit Clean And Clear
How many things do you own that you don't actually need, love or use?
In the last 10 years I've been living and traveling all over the world. Which means that I am living mostly out of a suitcase. I've learned what to bring and what not. To pack light, without feeling comprised I use one rule:
All items have to check et least 1 of these 2 boxes:
I Love it
I use it
If it doesn't fit in either, I am not keeping it.
It allows me to travel light and it makes me value, love and take care of my belongings much more. When I buy new things, I choose for a higher quality and I am particular in what it is I want. Feeling appreciation for the things I wear or use, adds positivity to my day.
I see it as Self Care.
You might be thinking: 'Okay Cool, but I am not traveling, so what's the point?'
Well, this approach works wonders for your well being no matter what you do or where you live. Just have a look around (if you are sitting in your home). Are you loving the things around you? Did you intentionally choose and place it there or is it stuff that you've accumulated over the years and not even like anymore? What about your clothing?
Does it reflect who you like, wish or desire to be? No? Let it go!
Letting go doesn't mean necessarily throwing it away.
You can donate or give it away. Asking the 'Do I love or use it' question has a bigger impact than you might think. It cleans up your environment and closet AND it does the same to your mind. You'll feel lighter, you'll make more conscious choices and BE more of who you want to be.
Letting go of the old, means more room for the 'new' (you).
